I don't know what you call this technique of using axes around the subject, but I'm pretty sure this was the only time I did it. The figure is my classmate, Christian Dietkus, who was an amazing painter and went on to CooperUnion. Really curious what he's working on now:

Hands and Feet

So, after working on my Arteaser blog for six months or so, I've been creatively re-energized, as well as more excited about blogging and social media in general. I've decided to start posting some of my own work to share with friends, contacts from Arteaser who are curious, and anyone else who comes along. 

I always like to start stories at the beginning (I know, how boring of me!), so I thought I would put up a few studies from my earlier years, before I discovered printmaking. I think these hands and feet studies were done in sophomore year of high school, or thereabouts.
